Chandra Juurlink, BSc, RMT

Chandra studied an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University Of Guelph followed by diploma programs both in Massage Therapy and Sports Injury Therapy. Chandra is a registered member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and began her career as owner/operator of a Massage Therapy clinic called Your Link to Health located in New Liskeard, ON.  This clinic has now merged with The Running Link, a fitness retail shop that she co-owned with her husband Tony, and will now be operating as Your Link To Health & Fitness.  Chandra is also the coordinator of a run/walk series called Get Active In Temiskaming which fundraises for local groups promoting healthy, active living.

Some of the specific courses that Chandra has taken to build into her practice are: Sweitzer Deep Tissue massage techniques and treatments, Orthopaedic Massage techniques and treatments, ultrasound and electrical modalities and certification as a First Responder. Accompanying her Massage Therapy treatments is a focus on injury rehabilitation and postural correction, and she offers orthopaedic assessment, treatment plans and home care exercises.

Her personal approach to Massage Therapy is to provide quality care that promotes health and wellness through treatment and preventative maintenance. She believes that quality treatments involve full attention and commitment from both therapist and client and her focus is to help clients reach their individual health care goals.

Chandra is an avid runner and enjoys leading an active, healthy lifestyle and her career choices reflect that. As a mother of 4 young children, she enjoys having a career that allows her to be flexible and enjoy time with her family as well.

Chandra is also currently exploring a new profession to compliment Massage Therapy, and is enrolled in a Pedorthic Internship working with BioPed in North Bay.  Once certified as a Pedorthist, she will be able to assess and treat leg and foot issues as well as fabricate orthotics.  Currently this service is offered through a satellite clinic of North Bay at Your Link To Health & Fitness.  She feels that these two professions work well together and is excited to see what the future brings!
